Información sobre la isla
La isla de Dhigurah se encuentra en el sur del Atolón Ari, en la zona oeste de Maldivas. Se trata una isla alargada que cuenta con más de 3 kilómetros de longitud y menos de 300 metros de anchura.
Ubicada junto al borde del atolón, en Dhigurah se puede apreciar el rompiente de las olas cerca de su costa este, mientras que a lo largo de su costa oeste se encuentran paradisíacas playas en su calmada laguna interior.
Con el pueblo localizado en la parte norte de la isla, el resto de la isla está ocupado por una densa vegetación tropical que se extiende hasta el extremo sur de la isla, donde hay un bonito sandbank. Desde esta isla se pueden hacer excursiones para ver el tiburón ballena.
Dhigurah es una opción excelente para disfrutar de inigualables playas, realizar excursiones o practicar buceo. Además, su mayor tamaño hace que se pueda pasear por su frondoso interior hasta el sur de la isla, donde se encuentra su Thundi.
